The “Spirit”

“Spirit” (NCKW-4) - is a 14', tip to tip Woodstrip canoe that is currently under construction and does not have an owner yet! If you are interested in this canoe, let us know!

The Specs.

Hull:  Locally sourced Cedar

Stems:  Ash from West Penn Hardwoods, in Conover, NC

The Build.

Cedar was purchased, as 2" x 10" x 16' and a 2" x 8" x 17' boards, from Wall Lumber, in Morganton.  In my shop, I ripped the slabs into 1/4" wide sticks.

The seating and interior can be configured based on YOUR needs!

This is a boat for a couple and their kids, or pets.  It is big enough for a serious trek, but light enough and small enough for a quick morning trip to the fishing pond.  If you've got the spirit of adventure, we've got your boat!
